Variety Online, December 14, 2015 - Mixed martial arts and a matchmaker who battles moms are part of the 2016 programming slate for Myx TV, the Asian-American focused cable and satellite channel.
With new original series “Mom vs. Matchmaker,” professional matchmaker Carmelia Ray (pictured) will go head-to-head with opinionated mothers as she finds the perfect mate for their single children. Produced by Go Button Media and Myx TV, the executive producers are Daniel Oron and Natasha Ryan for Go Button and Miguel Santos for Myx TV.
“‘Mom vs. Matchmaker’ challenges the old ‘mother knows best’ saying by testing a mother’s instinct against a professional matchmaker’s cutting-edge expertise,” said Santos, g.m. of Myx TV. “With a child’s future happiness on the line, the emotions run high, and Myx TV audiences will see the drama that goes into making the perfect match.”
